Fall Garden Cleanups- Reduce disease and have your yard looking good all winter long.

Towards this end of the year plants are overgrown, dying off or have spent flowers attached.  In October & November is a great time to reduce the old growth on perennials and allow basal growth to thrive.  Dying and dead leaves make the garden unattractive and prone to disease and insects.  Cutting out dead plant material, spent flowers and general shaping in bushes is also a good thing to do right now. All these things combined with a general leaf & debris cleanup is a great way to ensuring a great, healthy yard next spring.
